Fair Meadow - where barkers called and tumblers tumbled
Fair Meadow, Lyng
This is a new short walk, on level ground around what was indeed the home of Lyng's ancient Fairs. It starts at the loke beside the church entrance in Port Row and runs along behind the house before swinging nto the main field and following the edge to Richmond Place. It has ben established by George and Wendy Wilson with the help of Lyng Parish Council and the landowner, Michael Sayer. Most of the walk is a permissive path and there are new signs at each entrance to show the route and explain. |
