The route is roughly marked with the optional walk across the footpath shown
Cadders Hill seen from the ponds
This walk starts at the chestnut tree on Lyng Green in front of the Fox. Walk straight ahead south across the old chapel car park. Follow the round out onto Cadders Hill (also known as Cherry Tree Lane) and follow this as far as the riding school. Here you can either take the footpath using the style (or the gate) or walk up the lane to the top. In either case turn right and then follow the sandy path along the ridge. There are fine view across Cadders Hill and Lyng as you pass the old ponds (pictured). Keep on this path to Heath Road and then turn right, following the road past the junction. Soon after this you will see a path to the left leading towards the village. Follow this for about half a mile until you reach Elsing Road. Turn right and keep walking past the garage and the shop and back to the Fox and the village green.
